There is a magical quality to the Fiordland
region of New Zealand. On this five day
sojourn, experience the many moods of the
fiords and islands off the country's
southern-most point. Stay overnight on the
remote fiord of Doubtful Sound and discover
the tranquillity of untouched Stewart
Island.
Day 1:
Queenstown, Doubtful Sound Overnight (D)
Travel into the wilds of
World Heritage Fiordland National Park,
a land of cloud-scraping mountain
ranges, glacially gouged fiords, of
rushing streams and lush rain forests.
Arrive in Doubtful Sound and experience
the remote wilderness of the fiord
overnight. Perhaps take a kayak to
discover marine life up close or view
Browne Falls cascading down over 600
metres.

Day 2:
Doubtful Sound, Te Anau (BD)
Today begins with a relaxed
breakfast before our sojourn to Te Anau.
Visit the glow worm caves and drift in
silence beneath their blue-green light.
Accommodation: Te Anau, Te Anau Hotel
and Villas.
Day 3: Te Anau, Jetboat Ride, Stewart Island (BD)
Take a jetboat ride across
Lake Hauroko and down the Wairaurahiri
River. Head for Invercargill then fly to
Stewart Island, known for its diverse
marine and bird life, pure waters and
sandy beaches.
Accommodation: Two Night Stay: Stewart
Island Lodge.
Day 4:
Stewart Island, Ulva Island (BD)
Spend the morning as you
please before we discover Stewart Island
from the water. Enjoy a leisurely cruise
of Patterson Inlet and visit the
wildlife sanctuary of Ulva Island for a
walk ashore with our nature guides.
Day 5:
Stewart Island, Invercargill, Queenstown
(B)
Explore the island then join
your catamaran cruise to Bluff, before
returning to Queenstown.
